Beware of Sri Chinmoy!

I stumbled over the name today, while doing some blog-surfing and it rang a bell with me. I knew I'd heard/read it before, but where?

According to Mo Morgan this guy's organization spammed blog listings like blogger.com with their numerous websites. Follow the links provided in Mo Morgan's entry and see for yourself, what else he's PERHAPS up to: Sexually abusing his followers is one of the claims made by former members of his centre.

I remembered, where I had seen the name before: In the blog of my English friend Paperghost

I advise him -and everyone else for that matter- to review all the facts and judge for himself, if this dude isn't just another guru exploiting desperate people striving for relief from their fucked-up life.

It's the conclusion I've come to at least.

Funny referrers and a nice blog

While having a good laugh over the stuff found on Disturbing Search Requests I found this nice weblog, run by a bloggerette (my suggestion for the female form of "blogger") named Danielle

She's a funny lady apparently and I like those 50's pin-ups she uses.

No warp drive so soon

Sorry to break the news to all overly enthusiastic Trekkies and other Sci-fi buffs (like myself actually):

According to Warp Drive When? we don't have a chance to ever discover a means for faster-than-light interstellar travel.

Why? Fundamental laws of physics won't allow for it (unless these laws are flawed and until now that doesn't seem likely) plus the gargantuan amount of energy involved.

When looking at the mess we have to clean up here on Earth it's probably no big loss anyway.
